This one has been requested time and time again by various people for whatever reason, so I decided to take a trip to Metroline's Holloway Garage. Once Metroline's biggest garage the Garage is home to just over 220 vehicles most of which are a mixed type but nevertheless the Garage does over-perform in the Metroline maintenance charts due to their excellent maintenance standards, something which has been noted time and time again.
The Garage has the highest PVR of any Metroline Garage with the PVR totalling at 185. This is due to the fact they run many 'high profile' Routes, such as the 4 and route 43 which are considered major routes for the company. Aside this they run 10 routes from this location in the form of; Routes 4 17 43 91 134 271 390 603 C2 W7. The Route C2 has been recently lost to Abellio London respectively and the loss of this route will allow the release of 20 of the original 65 TPs that are run from this Garage. However the Garage is also in the process of receiving 13 TEs from PA in the form of TE898/899/900/901/902/903/904/905/906/907 and 908. Amid the 46,214 and 274 moving to a base in Kings Cross, this garage still remains the central maintenance point for the base and inside today were two new DEs that have been assigned to the 274. Other than that there was nothing else to see here but credit to the Metroline staff for allowing me on site.

yeah brilliant, i enjoyed looking at these photos! you should visit Stagecoach London NS (Romford) garage. Theres a lot going on their at the moment with the 10.5m tridents now fully refurbished and now the start of the refurbishment of the 9.9m tridents. 17982 is complete already, and i think its the first time that stagecoach have fully started refurbishing 9.9m tridents instead of 10.5m ones. Also the tender results for the 103 and 175 will arrive in january and the 103 is probably going to get new ones, cos its original fleet (18451-18462) have now nearly all gone with only three left!

I didn't get any pics of them, but there are three routemasters there at present one of them is RM664. Regarding the TAs, I'll have to find out from the management as there seems to be a lot of false information going about.

Is that the silver one? I knew they had 903 which is a nice example and I think an open-top? Don't see them out much though. Was surprised to hear of the TA's intially - seemed an odd decision when the rest of the garage is mostly presidents

That's the red one mate, its an open toppper, the reason the TAs are rumoured to be moving is because they will be made redundant after the loss of the 266.

As from the end of september due to overcrowding of buses and the new new crossrail plan some buses and route at westbourne park(X First group) are moving to a premises in North Acton near Transdev. The 23,295.9,N28,N28 are not affected as yet us drivers know so far but 28,31,328 drivers are to sign on in westbourne park and take a bus from North Acton.
