Picture of the Week [W/E - 17.08.2014]

VH20 - BT13 YWS is seen on stand at Colindale Superstores after completing service on the 292.

A couple of VH's have been appearing on other Edgware (BT) routes such as the 114 and 183, but this is the first time a Wright Gemini 2 Hybrid has been on Route 292. The vehicles are from a batch of 23 vehicles for the conversion of the 13/N13 into a hybrid operation.

Route 292 is set to gain new buses in December 2015, what will London United introduce. Do the VH's suit the route or if you have any suggestions, please comment below!

If you look on the other side of VH20, you'll see the new legal from RATP, but what I don't get is that they have the address for Twickenham Garage, isn't Fulwell now LU's head office.
Anyway, I guess the application of the new LS logos are well on their way, but where are RATP going to put them on the VHs because there are such small gaps

I've been on some VHs recently, and they are the most quiet, comfortable, smooth buses- for about 5 seconds! Then the diesel engine kicks in and they are noisy, uncomfortable and vibratey- worse than a normal diesel bus! Think they're massively overrated, nice interior but awful to ride on. Give me a TE/TEH any day.

I know the route 292 is gaining new buses in December 2015. my suggestions is they should order new Volvo B5TL Gemini 3 double deckers to oust the 55 reg SLE's

Twickenham is Fulwell mate, Fulwell Garage is in the area of Twickenham

Oh, then that's alright then, plus I think BT should get E400Hs for the 292 as that is a popular double decker and LS seem to be the only operator to not have it

I couldnt agree more. But my journeys were in the afternoon where the battery would have been down. But they are good buses all round either on battery power or diesel power.

But the Gemini3 hybrid features a similar system to the NB4L, so i prefer that to the Gemini2

Does anyone know when the new LS logos are going to be applied to all the buses cos I check everyday knowing that the new logos should be on any day now but they are not, what's taking so long, it didn't take London United this long to apply the RATP logos so why is it taking London Sovereign this long? Does anyone know why?

Think it should bring back the VLP's to the route..! The SLE's have no character in comparison...

Is'nt there going to be a renumbering of some-well most-of the DE's at Harrow and Edgware when this fleet is fully integrated with LU?

Yeah, the new fleet numbers for the DEs at Harrow and Edgware are going to be DE129-171.
