London Bus Simulator!

Myself and a mate are making Bus simulator in which you will allowed to be the driver of Bus in many different scenarios. The simulator will be fictional however based in London

It will feature IBUS announcements done by my special programme and a working timetable. At present the Buses you will be able to drive will be a Dennis Dart and a Plaxton President.

Screenshots and progress reports are below

Updates 12th Of November 2010: Production on the project has been temporarily halted due to work commitments. Please feel free to email me at jamaalbve@live.co.uk for any more queries.

Updates 18th Of January 2011: Been a long time since the last update but we would like to let you guys know that work is under-way on the simulator. More types of  Buses are now being created including and Enviro 200, Enviro 400 and a Wright Gemini 2.

Updates 31st Of January 2011: We're becoming a bit more kinder on the updates, this is a short update: Have any of you ever downloaded Midtown Madness 2 in the hope to drive a Bus, then all of a sudden it crashes, well I'm here to tell you that you will not experience this problem with this simulator as the platform which we will reveal soon is compatible with all operating systems.

Updates 19th Of April 2011

Updates 22nd Of April 2011

Jamaal,
Do i have to have BVE4 to play the game and will i be able to change the destination blinds (on the bus) myself, or will it have to be made automatic.

Jay says:

Right this is getting pretty jarring now. I will release information when the time is right. It will only be compatible with BVE4.

Anonymous

will it still be finished in August?

Jay says:
at: Sunday, July 17, 2011 8:25:00 pm said...

I'm kidding guys but all your questions will be answered in due course. The simulator is still on and will be released sometime in August but just bare with me.

Neil says:
at: Monday, August 01, 2011 8:07:00 pm said...

Would Vista and Windows 7 users be able to run this software? Because BVE4 is incombatible with operating systems Windows Vista and above.

Guys, here's a tip from an experienced game developer. I recommend that you use VBus or OMSI. VBUS is Polish but is well documented in English. It has native support for passengers and the modifications to create the scenery and buses are easy to make and produce. I have not written for VBUS so I cannot compare it. On the other hand, personally you should use OMSI. Again, it's German but well documented in English. OMSI takes more time to create the buses, but it is more realistic. A German MAN SD200 (the German eq of the ALX400 on the Trident) is available. Also, on OMSI, routes are being made daily, with London routes being the most common. Plus, this is a Bus Simulator too! So, again, it supports Passengers, Timetabling, Money Collecting for Fares. Another factor is that the OMSI iBus system is integrated!
But, please stay away from MM2 or BVE. If you need to use BVE, learn OpenBVE, much more features. BTW, I was a Lead Contributor on both OpenBVE and the OMSI Project. But, I'd be happy to help with this, so email me. :)

Peace Out.
