Today I visited Ash Grove Garage in Hackney, the Garage is ironically shared by both CT Plus and Arriva under the codes of AE for Arriva and HK for CT Plus. It is only one of a few Garages in London to have shared garage space. The only other one I can think of is Edgware Garage which is shared by London Sovereign and Metroline.
The Garage was opened in 1981 and has a capacity of 170 vehicles. It is currently home to Routes 153, 212, 385,388, 394, 812, W12, W13 and 675 on the CT Plus side and home to Routes 78 and 168 on the Arriva side.I must send out a big thanks to all the staff at the Garage for allowing me on the premises! Just one more note; the silver Scania Omnicity Single Deckers have come from Menzies's of Heathrow.

Hi
ReplyDeleteHow did you orgainse this garage visit as this is my local garage and i would love to go!
If I'm being totally honest on this occasion I walked into the main office, explained who I was and what I wanted to do there and I was allowed on site.

Hi
ReplyDeleteI was wondering with London United not being owned by Transdev any more with the RATP takeover are the branding / colour schemes likely to change soon? As the new 33's don't have Transdev printed on them. Also do you think the RATP name would be introduced as in the English language the name obviously sounds really silly.
Thanks
Oh okay thanks i assume you mean the London Sovereign SP's not the London United ones?
ReplyDeleteJack
Sorry that was actually the wrong information. The SPs do not have a grey panel, just a repainted bottom half.
ReplyDeleteJust to let you know that Fulwell Garage is another shared garage. This is shared between the old Travel London West & London United.
ReplyDeleteKind regards
Richard
Ah Thank you Richard. That's the one I'm looking for.
ReplyDeleteI was just asking a question when I saw my answer :) Thanks for the comments :)
ReplyDeleteWhilst on the topic of Fulwell garage Transdev have moved TLA 18, 21, and 23 from S to Fulwell Transdev which were operating on route 267 today there may well be a load more of them there i was wondering why they are there if anyone knows?
ReplyDeleteThanks
Jack
I have no clue why they are there, maybe its the fact that the 467 has converted to fully DD operation they are helping out due to a loss of vehicles.

Jamaal
I think it is because a fre of the 51reg TA's have been sent to the trim (Your latest update shows TA 212 there at the moment)
ReplyDeleteThanks
Jack
3 TLAs and a few TAs have moved to FW to cover for refurbishment of the 51 plate Tridents. Maybe they will rememeber to do the seats as they seem to have forgot some of the 03 plates
ReplyDeleteJamal... the contract specification changed for the 467 pushing three tridents for the route. Of course before this change the odd appearance of a decker was common. It pushes DP1/11 to normal single deck duties. Certainly DP1 was out on the 265 on Thursday I noted at Red Rover.
ReplyDeleteHi Jamaal
ReplyDeleteI saw your Transdev update here a few days ago which you have now taken down about the conversion happening on Saturday. I thought that London Soverign was converting to Veolia and London United to RATP?
Thanks
Jack
Yep I got it a bit mixed up and I didn't want to confuse anyone, so I took it down.
ReplyDeleteThanks
Jamaal

They wern't suppose to until the 5th of march along with 15 other enviro 200's for the H98 and 15 optare tempo's at AV for the H37 on the same date.
ReplyDeleteThanks
