Metroline CELF Centre and Perivale West [PA] Part 5

TN33173 LR02 LYS formerly of Greenford Depot stands outside the worskshop at CELF. Following refurbishment and single door conversion as well as well as repaint into traditional First regional barbie livery.

These particular examples were formerly based at Greenford Depot which is not too far away from this centre itself, however in 2009, First London who used to operate these buses retained the contracts for Routes E1 and E3 with new Buses. The new vehicles came in the shape of some new Alexander Dennis E400 bodied Dennis Trident 2. The new vehicles arrived in May 2009 and the acquisition of new vehicles has allowed First to transfer some of the nearly-new Plaxton bodied Volvo B7TL and Trident 2s to their provincial operations as they seek to get rid of all non low floor buses within their fleet. The reason these buses are passing through the centre today is to gain MOT before departing London for First Eastern Counties operations. More of these buses are expected at CELF in the coming months. Other things to note here today was an ex Armchair ALX200 Dennis Dart which is set to go off lease and a sole Plaxton President Dennis Trident 2 which is also set to go off lease. More photos are provided below. A big shout out goes to Metroline CELF Centre staff for ensuring that I was safe whilst on their premises.
